"Why I Should Be Chosen Queen Of Queens"

I never shied from competition, viewing it not as a challenge, but as means of growing. My zeal for life has given me the opportunity to develop and test many abilities. From ranking nationally in two sports, to being the first in school history to be elected class president all four years – receiving legislative recognition for my community service, to being elected best representative of my university’s Greek community, my achievements are varied. Each represents a unique passion in my life that I have explored to the fullest. Yet, there is little opportunity to combine these experiences and stand as a complete young woman.

As a Queen of Queens candidate, I offer a rich collection of achievements- ranging from academic to athletic, peer awarded, and community presented. My ability to articulate is tested daily managing communications for a Fortune 200 company. My role leading related community outreach provides a platform for personal presentation skills. My consistent charitable leadership communicates genuine interest in contributing to world around me.

I share these not boasting, but proof points of my capabilities and unlimited commitment to investing nothing less than my all in any endeavor. I feel the ultimate Queen of Queens is not an individual representative, but reflective of the pageant itself, and the industry as a whole. By selecting a contestant, who like myself can honestly and definitively present herself as accomplished, you cement the ideals of pageantry. You provide a credible platform to communicate the currentness and value of these contests, and inspire future contestants to further develop themselves.

As I shared earlier, I don’t view competition as a means to win, but a means to grow. And if my own experience can lead to others growing as well- through publically representing the Queen of Queens program, and shaping the 2009 pageant- then it truly is a win.
