Interview

1. What is your favorite pageant experience?  What made it so special?

My favorite pageant experience came November 26, 2006 at the Florida State American Queen Pageant. It was my first pageant so I did not know what to expect. Being very nervous, I quickly found all of the contestants to be wonderful! I immediately relaxed. I am so fortunate to still have the friendships that I made that day.

That day was so very special to me since I was crowned Miss Florida American Queen, 2007. It gave me the confidence to start my own non profit organization, Champs Help Association Inc.. Since that day, Champs has provided many weather alert radios to those who cannot afford them. Recently, Champs has teamed up with the National company The Scooter Store to provide the gift of mobility to those in need. I am so proud to have taken that very first step into the wonderful world of pageants.

2. In your opinion, why are pageants still popular in the 21st century?  How have they improved from the past?

In my opinion, pageants are still popular in this century because of the dedicated women who represent them. Growing up, I did not realize just how special these women were. Every little girl wanted to be a “beauty queen”, but why? Was it the crown? For me it is about what we stand for. What we contribute to the community. We are beautiful role models and put our best foot forward everyday!

Pageants have improved over the past several years by focusing more on community service, compassion and people helping people. We have become more real. We are no longer untouchable. We take children by the hand and lead by example. This is why I believe pageants have improved from the past.

3. What is what one thing you would like to accomplish as Queen of Queens?

One thing I would like to accomplish as Queen of Queens is to make people aware that one person can make a difference. Everyone has something to contribute. Make someone smile. Help someone with an everyday chore. Perform a random act of kindness. Start an organization. You can make a difference. Take what you believe in and make it happen. Believe in yourself. Imagine what a beautiful world this would be if everyone contributed just one thing. Start with a smile, it is contagious!

4. Titleholders can be positive role models in their communities, but how can they show a positive image in the pageant world as well?

Titleholders can be positive role models in the pageant world several different ways. Respecting the pageant system and other contestants is very important to me. Being caring and helpful are also positive influences. Always having fun and making it the best experience for everyone around me. Most important is to represent the title I have with grace, poise, passion and respect. In this ever changing world, I am disappointed in a few pageant systems that have allowed titleholder to remain after disrespecting the very thing they promised to uphold. I always do my very best to represent pageant world in a positive manner.

5.  What makes a woman beautiful?

Possessing beauty inside and out makes a woman beautiful. To be beautiful I believe you need to have the whole package. I have learned early on, confidence is one of the most important things you can have. If you combine that with compassion, sensitivity, caring and a true desire to make a difference in people’s lives, you have a beautiful woman.

“Why I Should Be Chosen Queen Of Queens”

I would like to be chosen Queen of Queens because of what I have to contribute. I am active in the community volunteering for many organizations including: The Flagler County Emergency Operations Center, Flagler Volunteers, Relay for Life, Family Life Center, for the prevention of domestic abuse, the Casselberry Police Organization’s national night out. I am founder and president of Champs Help Association Inc., a pending 501c-3 organization. Champs provides weather alert radios to people who cannot afford them. Champs is also involved with providing the gift of mobility teaming up with the national company The Scooter Store. I have been named Central Floridian of The Week, by News Channel 13 for my work with Champs.

I am a full time college student majoring in accounting at Daytona Beach College. I currently hold a 3.9 GPA and I am on the Dean’s list for the 2007 year. My goal is to become a tax attorney.

In January I received a call of a lifetime from Video Artworks in Missouri, asking me to come to Laguna Beach, California for a photo shoot. I appear in the March/April edition of Supermodels Unlimited Magazine. I am advertising for Video Artworks Passport Folios. I will have photo shoots all over the world for the next year.

If I am chosen Queen of Queens, I will promote the system to the best of my ability and show the world what it really is to be the best you can be!
